sleepin' through the night

Two nights ago I fed Grant around midnight, got a burp outta him, put him in bed and tucked myself in next to a snoozing husband. Next thing I knew, Grant was waking up. I thought to myself, that wasn't very long, and expected it to be about one o'clock. To my GREAT surprise, it wasn't one, it was 6:00 am!!! I had slept a full 6 hours straight. What a sweet little boy I have to allow mommy to do that. I figured it was because the day before was a bit of a busy, hot one and he didn't get much time to nap during the day.

Last night, I fully expected to be up with him in the night. I even fed him at 10:30, stayed away and tried to get him to wake up so I could feed him around midnight so he'd sleep longer. Well this wasn't the case. He totally slept through my annoying proding to get him to eat. So I did what I thought was best and put him in his crib. Next thing I know, it's 5:30am and I've slept for a good 5 hours again. What an angel baby!!! Here's to hoping it sticks. However I am kicking myself for staying awake last night for no reason when I could've been snoozing. Oh well, I take what I can get for sure!
